Rice Futures Market Print E-mail
Since 1994, the Chicago Board of Trade has provided a forum for the trading of rough rice futures and options on futures. Prior to moving to the CBOT, rice futures were traded at the Mid-America Commodity Exchange and the Chicago Rice and Cotton Exchange, affiliates of the CBOT. Futures and options give producers, processors, exporters and the public the ability to manage price risks inherent in the rice market and provide a mechanism to discover the future price of rice.
